Do I need a food licence?›
It depends on what you sell and where you live. Most states allow shelf-stable baked goods, jams, candies, and dry goods under a 'cottage food' exemption with no licence. Meat, dairy, and most refrigerated foods usually require a licensed kitchen. Check your state's cottage food law. It's your responsibility, not YoTummy's.
Does YoTummy take a cut of my sales?›
No. YoTummy doesn't process payments. The buyer pays you directly: cash, Venmo, Zelle, whatever you prefer. YoTummy is free to use today; a premium plan is coming later, and it'll always be optional.
Do I have to show my home address?›
No. The map defaults to a 1-mile bubble around your location so people can see you're nearby without seeing exactly where you live. If you run a doorstand or front-yard bakery and want the exact address shown for foot traffic, you can opt in.
How do orders work?›
YoTummy doesn't host messaging. Your storefront shows the contact method you chose (phone, email, or social), and buyers reach out to you directly. From there it's a normal conversation: you decide pricing, prep time, payment, and pickup vs. delivery. We stay out of it entirely.
Can I sell from my own social-media following too?›
Yes. Most YoTummy sellers also sell via WhatsApp groups, Instagram, or Facebook. Think of YoTummy as the way new neighbors find you. Your existing customers can still order however you've always served them.
